Kobina “Jimmy” Quansah, was born in Ghana, West Africa, in the town of Agona Kwaman. The Quansah family moved to Queens NY where Jimmy attended high school. Mr. Quansah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Engineering Management and an MBA in Engineering Project Management.
Upon return to his home in West Africa after 25 years, Jimmy was able to see a need that reignited his passion to leave a legacy for his daughter Blessing that is rooted in their heritage. Over the years he has been blessed to be able to support and volunteer time, resources, and services to organizations such as Big Brother Big Sister where he currently serves as a mentor, Houston Food Bank, Kids Meals, and the Black Employee Network.
Mr. Quansah has a history of service to the community from helping and supporting those in need in the streets of NYC and weekly Sunday visits to nursing homes while attending college in South Carolina, his passion to help and support the community has only continued to grow stronger.
Jimmy created Blessing With a Purpose to help the community where his mother grew up and his uncle Nana Odiadem is a chief. He is committed to focusing on improving the current status in Agona Kwaman and eventually surrounding areas in need. That is why the tagline of Blessing with a purpose is “shaping the world one child at a time”.
In creating this NGO, Blessing With a Purpose, Mr. Quansah and his team in The States and in Africa will be able to do the necessary work to improve education and create the best possible environment for our children to learn and thrive and secure a better quality of life. His recent visits have allowed an opportunity to connect with the people of Agona Kwaman and motivated the team, family, and friends to help in this passionate mission of Blessing With a Purpose.
