Deniese Mayfield is an accomplished professional who has more than 24 years of progressively responsible experience in the customer service/telecommunications industry residing in Houston, Texas.
Over the course of her career, she has worked for three fortune 500 companies including AT&T Wireless, Verizon Wireless and Comcast Communications serving in a variety of positions in the Call Centers along with Sales and Operations. While in these roles, Deniese contributed in various capacities to assist these companies through start-up, turnaround and growth modes.
Deniese holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and currently working on her Diversity, Equity and Inclusion certification.
Deniese volunteered as a Big Sister with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization Houston Chapter and served on the board of directors for two years until relocating for work to Denver in 2016. While in Denver, she was also a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications Rocky Mountain Chapter. While in Portland, Deniese launched the Black Employee Network Employee Resource Group as a voice for the underrepresented employees.
Deniese is a native Californian, she and her daughter moved to Houston in 2005 while working for Verizon Wireless. From 2016 to 2019, Deniese lived in Portland, Oregon, and Denver Colorado while working for Comcast Communications.
She is excited to be back in Houston with her family, especially since the world is opening up again. She enjoys spending time with friends, attending Church, concerts, volunteering, dining out and travelling. Her last trip was to Ghana, West Africa, in September 2021.
